Be moderate, urges Dr Koh
The Star [Metro: North], 1-10-2007 (Monday)

HOLD the middle ground – that was the message of Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon at an MIC dinner themed ‘Colours of Independence’.

Dr Koh said that Malaysians were lucky to be living in peace and harmony for 50 years.

"We are among the top developing nations. This is because the vast majority of all communities and races are moderate and progressive," Dr Koh said.

He emphasised that only a small number of people were extreme in nature and the public should not follow tactics that hurt the feelings of others.

We cannot go on with confrontation and conflict. Together, we must find a path of consultation and consensus,” Dr Koh stated.

The dinner was organised by MIC Bukit Bendera division Wanita, Youth and Puteri wings.
